So my fish filter was working just fine but hadn't ever been cleaned (I've only had it for like a month and a half) so I took it apart (just as the instructions said to), clean it (just water), replaced the filter (it's facing the right way, I checked), and finally put it back together in exactly the same way. I plugged it in and no water came out. I can feel it vibrating and hear the pump working. I even unplugged it, took the bottom piece off, plugged it back in and without that bottom piece I could see to propeller turning. Why won't it pump water? How long can my tropical fish live without it? Thanks for the help!
