What device invented by Faraday but finally designed by Desaga?

This device was originally invented by Michael Faraday. An improvement in its design was made in 1855 by Peter Desaga at the University of Heidelberg. Desaga at that time was working for a famous chemist and we know this device by the name of the famous chemist rather than Desaga, leading to the common misconception that this was designed by the famous chemist.
