What degree would help me to become a lawyer or pre-law student?

If you are leaning toward Criminal law as a practice; you need to cram as much writing classes, science especially biology, philosophy, political science, and government classes you can. If you are lucky enough to find a college that offers classes in logic or argument ; take those also.
keep in mind that you will need more than a 3.5 GPA to get into law school. also you need to start studying for the LSAT (the law school entrance exam) at least 2 years before you take it. You will need a 150 or better to get into most law schools.
