What degree should I get at university?

Hello all,

I'm a 14 year old girl in the United Kingdom, and I would adore to be able to study at Oxford university one day. This seems overly ambitious and I am not entirely sure it's a realistic choice, but I am trying to 'aim high', much as I hate that cliche! XD

Anyway, without further ado,

-I have done a French A-Level, and will be doing a Spanish A-Level.

Thus, I would very much like to study French, with English literature as an undergraduate course. I will probably get a degree in a language.

Do you think that studying English Literature, French, Spanish, History, Politics at A-Level and hopefully achieving high grades will get me into university?

Are these subjects superior enough and more importantly, will they enable me to progress further in life? I don't want to be stuck with a degree and unemployed because the degree's useless.

Thank you ever so much for this time, and for hacking your way through this somewhat incoherent ramble. :)

-Sarah
Thanks very much for all your help. :) I'm not going for the sake of it, I literally am passionate about both languages and literature and would just adore an opportunity to study them beyond sixth form.
