What day would I start my "due date" countdown if I know the exact date the baby was...

...conceived? Lets say My husband and I had completely unprotected sex on September 23rd. No sex 30 days before or after this date. If I'm pregnant, and assuming that was the occasion I conceived on, what date would the doctor go off for the "countdown" of my due date? Does it take a few extra days for the egg to get fertilized and then attach to the uterine walls, or does it happen within a couple hours?

The reason I ask is because I believe I might be pregnant (taking the test tomorrow) and if I am, I would like to take the abortion pill. The clinic offers them if you are 9 weeks or less. That date would put me at 9 weeks on this Friday, if they were to set the countdown at sept. 23rd. So I'm kind of hoping that the actual conception takes a few days before the whole pregnancy cycle begins. Thank you for your intelligent advice and help...
In october around the 22nd-ish I had what I thought was a period. It only lasted 2 days though (as opposed to the normal 5-7) and was relatively lighter than "normal". This month I did not have a period. So if I went by my last technical period, that'd put me at 5 weeks only.
Not that I need to justify my actions to anybody, but it occurred because my husband is in the army and I'm usually 100% on top of my BC usage, but I ran out for the month and was unable to get onto the base to get the next months dose because my military ID card recently expired. You need the ID to get on post to the pharmacy. So I bought condoms which I haven't done in years, and they were too small it turned out. He came home from a long training session and we decided to do the pull out method. He didn't pull out soon enough. Then he had to leave the next day for more training with the army. It was our stupidity but I missed my husband deeply and what's done is done. I need to finish my degree and I cannot do that with a baby unfortunately. Sometimes you make mistakes and you learn from them.
