Well, if you like nursing, go to the community college for the practical nursing certification. You could earn a living, while you are learning the field. The tests would be much easier, that way, if you continued on for registered nursing. My observation is that the registered nursing slots in school are very competitive. If you are already accepted into a registered nursing program, you and your mother might want to consider hiring a tutor to help with the tests. Tutors are very effective in helping one ace tests.
If you don't like nursing, the health insurance field might work, since you already have a base of knowledge in health practices. The smartest field to go after is one that you are enthusiastic about, not one that assures a good future. The future is always unsure, these days. But your enthusiasm and talents are to be counted on. However, health insurance is always on some top list of job hires.
