I've never been able to formally volunteer at a soup kitchen or anything (I've had transportation issues, the like). However, I do think that I have made some kind of a difference in my community.
At the very least, I have tutored for my school before. My school does have a tutoring system where they pay you, but I've tutored for free outside of the system before. Outside of school, over the summer I've tutored some people for free. Can that count as helping out the community?
