be in public and not wear a headscarf or veil etc? just a little general knowledge quiz...mugen in saudi arabia it is law. so sorry no trick question here :p

lebanon, syria, jordan are some. it's usually the countries that are have muslim governments that require that the women wear the headdresses.

I may be very wrong here, but I'm going to say that it's a trick question, and in no Middle Eastern country it is against the law for a woman to wear something to cover their faces.

Very few. Some of them are Israel, Turkey, and Iraq (in some places). Most of the rest follow the Qu'ran down to the punctuation mark (or whatever they have in Arabic. I think you might be able to in some of the predominately Muslim parts ofNorth Africa too, but that isn't the Middle East.

jordan, libya, labanan, seriya, pakistan etc. Still many women in these countries prefer to cover their heads and bodies but they won't get punished if they don't like in Saudi Arabia, they start beating up right away if they see you didn't cover your head correctly and could see some of the head hair. (Sad).

It kind of depends on how you define "Middle East." I'll go with Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey. Some might argue that Turkey is more of a western society, however.

every middle eastern country but Saudi Arabia. Iran is not in the middle east (that is why they are Persian and not Arabs) and Turkey (also not in the middle east) has a ban on women wearing a headscarf. also in some tribal portions of the middle east it might be a culturally imposed law but not a government imposed one. and then in say, Egypt, the headscarf has become sort of a fashion thing and less of a religious one.
