What could we dress up as? Must involve face paint?

Me and my friend want to dress up for a night out on the town, i cant go into deatil why but due to health reasons my friend would feel more comforatble dressed up fancy dress with face paint. Any ideas on what we could go out as? Face paint is a MUST
 
my 8th grade theme was Marti Gra <- - not sure if i wrote that correct but instead of wearing mask why don't you paint masks on your face? and that way you can paint your face the color of your dress =) hope that was some help ?
 
dress up as if you would be going to a masquerade ball since its cute and the girls where masks
