I bought my 99 Cougar in 2005 and almost immediately the cruise control stopped working. It won't turn on when I hit the "on" button on the steering wheel.
I lived with it for the next 5 years, but I'm getting ready to drive almost 2,000 miles and am looking into getting it fixed beforehand so as to avoid a miserable drive.
I checked fuses 23 and 24 in the fusebox (as indicated in the owner's manual) and they both appear to be intact. I can't seem to find anything online to indicate what else to check or replace. Can anyone help??
