My car started to overheat (possibly, the temp gauge may be faulty but was not reflecting a high temp). I noticed smoke coming from the front of the car but when I lifted the hood I could not locate a source. Upon inspection I noticed a medium brown liquid (not very thick) sprayed around the coolant reservoir, onto the white part of the frame and onto a round metal cylinder behind the coolant box.
What could cause a car to smoke & medium brown to be liquid sprayed under hood?
