What computer/engineering degree is best suited for both software and hardware

design? For college, I have picked Computer Science as my primary major and degree. I am interested in programming, software, OS designs, applications, and networking.
But also, I am also interested in designing and making computer hardware, as I would like to also design and make hardware components such as integrated circuits and CPUs, and also maybe gadgets and electronic devices. So, I am worried and wondering if Computer Science is the right degree for me? Do hardware and electronics only involved in Electronics or Computer Engineering courses/degrees?

So to simply put it, I would like to design and create BOTH software and hardware. So what would be the best degree for me, if not CS? Or would a double major would be applied? I appreciate any help, thanks!
