What colour should I paint my room?

My mom says just in case we move out, she wants it a neutral colour(whatever that means). I don't want tope, like that ugly beige colour, no offence moms, but I can't have dark or bright. (ex. black/red, hot pink)
Also, no designs like polka dots.
I am 12 so I don't want baby colours. (Pink or blue) It will end up being light and boring.
Also if you can, pictures and ideas of how I could make the room look nice. Like a theme.

I suggest a pale blue. Not baby blue but a white-ish blue. Or a calming yellow or light green. It's calming, and makes the room look bigger which will make your house more expensive, getting your family more money. (Next month I'm painting my room orange! lol) We're never moving out since we just paid it off entirely finally. :)
 
Sage green is a popular neutral color these days. I've also seen a lot of light grey. Go with your Mom to a store that sells paint and look at the little paint chips. Choose some you like and let your Mom choose the ones she will allow, then choose a color.
