I would say a cream or a white. That way you can change up the feeling of the room super easily with throw pillows, pots, etc. I'd go for turquoise pillows and accessories first! It would look fantastic!

I would say white because light colors are calming and give you a feeling of serenity. But white will easily show stains. Taupe is perfect because it's still light and it's a neutral color so it'll match most things. I think this will complement your pale yellow walls perfectly. If you like to redecorate occasionally like I do, you'll be happy you went with taupe.

black. it is a classic color and will go with anything (looks quite stunning with pale yellow and white) - then if you move or change your color scheme it will always fit in

It depends upon the room that it will be used. If the room is smaller, I would choose a sandy brown or taupe. Beware that this will lend itself to a more casual feeling. If the room is large enough, or you are going for a more formal look, then I would prefer chocolate. Sticking with a classic like brown, will transition to another house or apartment more easily than going with a dyed leather and if you decide to repaint the walls, there are so many other colors that would still look great!
P.S. Be sure that the leather is top grain if you want it to last. Anything else will have the leather "rub-off" and it will look flimsy and cheap quickly if it gets much wear.
Have fun shopping!

If you're buying leather, then I would go with a dark brown. Something like this:
