What color should I paint my wooden furniture in my room?

Okay so were going to be painting my room a kind of light lemon yellow color. And that will be going with my lime green curtains and bed spread. The problem is that none of the furniture in my room match. My bed frame is black. My book shelf is white. My desk is a dark color wood and my dresser is a light color wood. I was thinking i could paint it so I don't have to buy new furniture. I was thinking to either paint it white or black. I'm really thinking white but I'm kind of skeptical. Any input would help.
