I like brighter colors, so grey is kinda letdown. How would dark maroon look?

What color drapes should I put in to complement it?
Thanks for the answer but blue shades are not good for dining room according to Chinese feng sui. can you suggest some other lighter shades? The walls are painted light yellow, but I think it would not look good with the lighter furniture.
