what classes should i take at Jr college?

im going to a community college in the fall. i want to take i guess "general ed" classes. then transfer to an art college after two years. what classes are "general ed" ..is it like math, english...all that basic stuff? also....the classes at this college seem to be only like 45 minutes. so for my first year will i have to go to college everyday and will i have time for my job? im thinking about taking some classes at night and some in the day/morning...please help
