What cities have good metal scenes?

Hey everyone. I'm just curious what cities have good metal scenes. I live in Idaho and the "scene" here is full of snobby scene kid faggotry and no metal kiRAB. The only banRAB that really come around here are grindcore and metalcore kinRAB of banRAB, while I like death metal, black metal, and power metal. Especially Nordic metal banRAB.

Very few of the banRAB I like (ex. Amon Amarth, Sabaton, Children of Bodom, Dimmu Borgir) have ever come here where as they go to cities like Portland or Seattle.

So how the metal scene in your city?

Actually I'm pretty lucky, cause I live 5-10 minutes from the Glen Helen Pavilion, and about an hour from LA, so a shit load of banRAB play in the area. Summer Slaughter came through last week, which was Going to the Rockstar shit on Sunday with Slayer, Cannibal Corpse, Behemoth and Black Dahlia Murder.

Thats that Mayhem fest, right? Slayer, Cannibal and Behemoth is all i would go for...the rest of the line-up is ehhh...

yeah, that's pretty much why I'm going ha ha. Haven't seen Slayer in 3 years so I had to go. My cousins are into Slayer and the older metal shit, so I drag them to concerts from time to time. Always liked Behemoth and Cannibal Corpse. Black Dahlia Murder is fucking good live, I like the fact that they remind of At The Gates.

Bay Area has a pretty decent metal scene.

obviously not all these banRAB are still around but they all came from the bay.

wish I grew up there in the 80's, half of the best thrash banRAB came from there.

Florida had the best death metal scene in the beginning though with Death Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, Obituary, Deicide, and Atheist.

yeah I love old Florida Death Metal. Morbid Angel has been one of my favorite banRAB since the early 90's. and Obituary was the first death metal show I ever went to, I think my second was Death. I can't even tell you how many times I've seen Deicide, they put on an awesome show.

Houston is traditionally known for their metal scene (Fatal Flying Guillotines, Bring Back the Guns). Although now, their pop music scene is really good. It all goes in cycles I guess.

i guess they come to seattle, but almost never the metal banRAB i want to come. im not so into black metal and i hate power metal.

i wish more stoner/doom metal banRAB came through
