We are relocating from the UK to the US in Jan and our 18-month-old son will be flying across with us in his own seat, but we would like him to sit in a car seat so he is safer and more comfortable for the flights. We are able to buy a (US) Britax Roundabout car seat which is FAA approved and suitable to use on all American flights but British Airways request the car seat is CAA approved, can be fastened with the lap belt and will fit on the seat, otherwise the car seat will have to be stowed. The Britax Roundabout is bigger than the 17x17" dimentions guideline BA have advised on their website, so I'm looking for suggestions of car seats (makes & model) that other people have been able to use on BA flights with in the past.
Many Thanks
I have asked BA and they are not helpful at all. They say the car seat has to be CAA approved, fit in the seat and attach with the lap belt. They will not give me a definate answer of which particular car seats they do and do not allow, they just have to meet the above criteria. But I cannot find one that does, hence me asking other people which seat they have used previously.
