What channel do i search for my Tv Tuner card?

Just installed a tv tuner, installed the software when i open the program it sais search channels there's a whole heap of them like 50 i seen on wiki Aus runs of Optus D1 when i hit that nothing comes up..also on the back of the card it has line in and out for aerial should it be in? iv tryd both still nothing.. any help best anwser
