anyone have this problem, a very sharp stabbing pain that stops you dead in your tracks, in your back. this is occuring in my mid back. intermittent - doesn't last long but keeps recurring. if I press on my spine, OMG I can feel that sharp pain there.

me & my daughter was moving a futon and dresser right before this started happening but I just don't see how that did something, I already had pain above it for quite awhile now and it's been giving me hell

is this a reaction from a nerve? if it is a nerve (just saying), does that have to involve a herniated/slipped disc or can there be other reasons as to why the nerve is shooting off pain?

Could be anything from a disc problem, to a pulled muscle, to signs of facet (lurabar joint) problems. You'd have to see a doctor for a full examination with x-rays to start the diagnostic process.

I realize it could be anything but I doubt it's a pulled muscle. Why would the pain not have responded to treatment and lasted so long? My bladder is also involved in this new pain (the sharp pain), it makes it worse if I need to pea because I am not feeling the urge to go to the bathroom when I need to. My bladder is insane right now with pressure/pain. I know the sharp pain is from my back but how my back is affecting my bladder, don't understand that one.

Read online these issues in your back if you have them, slipped disc whatever it be, can clear up on it's own in a few months even without treatment, but my problems have been treated and it won't let up.

SounRAB like it could be a bladder infection or a urinary tract infection (UTI). They can be excruciating.
