What careers are there in photography?

I want to take photography for a level next year and was wondering what careers there were out there for it.
I am also interested in fashion!
 
Well then, how about a 'Fashion Photographer' then???

Weddings and parties are your best bet to start a book of your work.
The experience is great for any situation. You learn how to handle stress, timing, quick decision making, and people skills.
Go to a Model agency or make an add on craigslist, to take free pics of models. They can also get you in the fashion runway shows, so that you can get some good pics. Then you will meet more photographers and get rolling with that crowd.
remember you have to have a good eye, look at lots of photographer websites and books. The career your wanting is kinda like wanting to be a rockstar. Hard to get into and you need lots of money for good equipment. You also need to learn about Photoshop CS.

photography is used every where so if you like something else take photos of that so fashion is largely photographed
 
Quite a few. You can go for the glamorous profession of press and other photographers taking photos left right and centre of major events, media personalities etc. and whatever is happening on the news scene - could be very hard work! You can set yourself up in a studio taking photos of people, families, weddings etc. - not everyone's cup of tea! You could also travel and collect photos you make to be collected in an exhibition - you'd need a good agent - , or produce a travel-log of some kind for a newspaper, or even ask National Geographic to print your photo reportage - probably with some commentary.
I'm sure there are other possibilities.
