cobalt? civic? Focus? corolla? i've heard the cobalts and focus' dont last that long, well as long as the corolla and civic. I've also heard cobalts start to get many problems after 70,000 miles, to the point where you need to start replacing things. I'm looking for a 2002 or newer car that gets at least 24mpg city and is less than $8000. All of the civics and corollas i've looked at in this range has more or at least 100,000 miles on it. is $6,990 too much for a civic 2003 in good shape with a sunroof, 144,000miles a bad deal??? PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ANSWERS!

100,000 on a honda is about equivalent to a american made car such as gm and ford with 50,000 , avoid the toyota if you can and buy american made cars, the honda accord, civic, acura tl, hona element are all made in ohio I know i use to work there, ""saving jobs and getting the most reliable car for your money"""and down the road when you go to sell it you will still get something for it cant say the same about the resale value of a gm or ford

Consult the Blue Book and stay away from the American cars that were considered cheap and economical when it was a brand new vehicle. They were low quality when they were new... hence pieces of crap when old.
