What car should I (student) get with this income?

I didn't do well my first year of college and did not like it, so I decided to move back home to CA. I'm 18 (19 in November). I got a part time job and will be making about $325 a week.
So, I really like cars and want to get something fun, but I know what a pain insurance can be. I'm probably willing to spend tops $600 a month on car payments (and insurance combined). But, I'm pretty clueless. Any ideas?
 
I would suggest saving the money and buying with cash. It may take some time but worth it in the end especially for someone your age. I am 23 and regretted ever paying on a car, however it will help with your credit if your never late. I drove an 88 Chevy Celebrity for 4 years (paid cash for it). I would also suggest finding a car that has had one owner and an elderly person because they are normally cheaper and the cleanest. I am currently driving a 95 Honda accord and hate the payments each month!
