What car should I get? Looking for sharp looking, good quality. Pontiac G6?

I'm able to get a car for around $12-19,000 for my graduation. I'm unsure of what to get. I was thinking perhaps a used Pontiac G6, but I don't understand the different models (Like GXP, Coupe, GT). What's the different? I was also thinking maybe a used Dodge Charger. But I don't really know much about cars, my dad is helping me out somewhat but he wants something I know I'll like so he wants me to help.

I know I want a slick black car with nice rims. Also want it to have a fast acceleration. That's about all. All other information is greatly appreciated. Thanks, and sorry for stupidity on cars.

G6 hmm grand am I have 2 Grand AM GT's, there nice cars there is long ongoing problem with the electric windows.. but good value

It's your first car?

I'm worried because you say you want something with fast acceleration...

That's a good way to get a lot of tickets... Please don't be like all these other young kids who think they're so cool by taking off really fast/loud from the red light. Honestly, NOBODY thinks they are cool, everyone actually says "Wow, what an idiot." Just keep that in mind... It's not cool...

Anyways. Dodge Chargers are nice. Or maybe, since it's your first car (is it your first car?), you could go with the step down from the Charger and get the Dodge Avenger. They're nice and sharp.

Have you seen the Nissan Altima Coupe? Really nice. I've seen a used one for 15,000. You might be able to find a used Pontiac G8, which is a step up from the G6. Don't know about the used price as it's a new model car for Pontiac.

Good luck, and remember, it's not cool to drive fast. ;)

Consumer Reports rate the G6's horribly. Very low on reliability and satisfaction.
A friend of mine has a Charger and hates it. She says if it spits rain, the car fishtails constantly. Horrible mpg as well.
Just some tips for you to consider.
