The Nationals had to go to the wire to sign Strasburg. Is there a cap for draft picks? It seems that the whole purpose of a draft is defeated if teams cannot sign their picks. I think that other sports are looking at caps for drafted players. Wouldn't players in the unions be for a cap on drafted players since that would mean more money available for them as opposed to young players who have not done anything yet.
