what can you say about the current toyota sequoia?

Wow, that's a big car :-)

I'm guessing that you need it for its size, and to be honest, there's nothing else out there that is as spacious and comfortable for up to 8 people. And, as an added bonus, the Sequoia has a big boot, even with all the seats in position.

Reliability? I can tell you that Toyota's are about as reliable as it gets, regardless of model. I know that the Sequoia is made in Indiana, not in Japan, but you can bet that it'll still live up to Toyota's sky-high quality standards.

Looks? Well, we're getting subjective, but I think the Sequoia looks tough and agressive, but not an ugly car by any stretch of the imagination. Environmental types will hate you for buying it, simply because it is such a large SUV, but don't listen to them. It's your money, and your choice what you drive. You will know if this is the car that suits your needs and your personality.

Handling? The Sequoia is based on Toyota's Tundra pick-up truck, but that does not mean it handles like a big lumbering truck. Toyota fitted new independent rear suspension, so it is more composed and car-like in its handling that you might expect. It really is a pleasant surprise to drive, because you're really not sure how Toyota has managed to create a car that weighs 6000 pounds and actually handles really well.

Now, I've said a lot of positive things. Negatives? The interior is a spacious place, but ergonomics are not the best. It is very difficult for the driver to reach some of the controls from the driver's seat. And also, you don't get the greatest fuel consumption - around 14 miles per gallon. Actually, that's quite a scary amount of fuel.

So, if you were thinking of buying one? It's great value, and an absolutely fantastic family car - providing you actually need the space. Otherwise, you might find the Sequoia unwieldy, and extremely thirsty for fuel.
