Ive had my heart set on doing something with History my entire life. I couldnt figure out what though! So I decided on being a high school history teacher. But as I go through college, I find myself losing my patience with teenagers! I dont know if I can deal with being a teacher! UGH! But history is my passion! So does anyone know what I can do with a degree in history?

You actually can't do hardly anything with a degree in History except go to more school to get a master's or a PhD. Once you've got your Bachelor's in History you can get all sorts of interesting PhD's or Master's degrees though. For instance, you could get a master's in paleontology or get a PhD to be a college professor.

And actually a little bit of a correction here, you can't be a high school history teacher with just a bachelor's in history. You'd still need a teaching certificate so if you'd actually like to be a high school history teacher you'd be better off to get a bachelor's in education and have an emphasis in history.

You could go for an advanced degree and teach at a higher level, where the students are choosing to take your course rather than required to. That makes a lot of difference.
