The wheel was shuddering and you can hear a whining noise everytime you turn the wheel back and forth. We thought it could have been a mixture of the stabilizer bar links and the power steering pump so they were replaced last night. Now its shuddering and STILL whining even while going straight.
2000 Ford Explorer xlt
v6 4.0 - 4 door automatic
2 wheel drive
The belt is tight, fluid full, and turned the wheel back and forth for a couple minutes after we put in the new power steering pump last night to let air out so its none of those and its not the tires themselves.
what about power steering unit?
Or any other suggestions?!?!
btw the shuddering and whining is worse now then before
Otherwise rest of the car is in great condition - the symptoms above are it....nothing else
Also it just had an adjustment and wheel alignment a few days ago
Front end alignment I mean
We have two tires that need replacing but everyone has said that while it would cause a slight shudder, it wouldnt cause the shudder it is doing plus the noise.....?
The power steering pump was replaced because goodyear told us too......
And the links were replaced because it comes in a kit and while they were looking at things down there, the little rubber bell spacer/bushing or whatever crumbled
