What can i use to attach patches to a nylon backpack without using an iron or

There are fabric glues available at Craft stores. Check the product for ease of removal.
 
Fabric Glue, although sometimes it can leave glue behind that is hard to get out. Also, you could use safety pins-if you clip them from the inside, only a little bit of metal shows on the outside, and you can't even tell that they're there.
