You can use Brasso which is a brass and metal polish/cleaner. Do not use guitar or furniture polish as it is meant for wood, not metal. Ask your mom what she has for cleaning and polishing the pots and pans. Be very careful and follow the instructions carefully. These are very caustic chemicals and need to be used in a well ventilated environment with gloves. Many metal polishes are abrasive and will remove the painted logos on your cymbals. Best thing to do is to get some cymbal polish from your local music store.
