What can i talk about with this girl i like?

Im in high school and im 16....I really like this girl in my P.E. class..I've already got her phone number but we dont really talk in person..I've texted her a little bit and she told me i should talk to her more and not be so shy..But my friend told me that she might be getting a b.f. soon and said she wasnt interested in me...anyways its been alot of mixed signals...I dont know how to start up a convo with her really in p.e...And i cant tell if she likes me or not...PLZ HELP!! thanks
