I haven't picked at it, but it hurts like hell and I'd like it to go away as quick as possible.

Any advice?

Thanks.

Dematologist can give u a shot to reduce it. Ibuprofin/advil is suppose to help with sweeling. Otherwise, Just time.2-3 days, hopefully. I NEVER pick at it if I cant see the white pore with pus. This took me YEARS to Learn. Sometimes, I even let it "grow" a 1-2 days so that it is easier to pop, and enRAB up healing faster and scaring less. Othewise, if I pick at it early, or dont see the white pore with pus, It gets Bigger, Reder, Scabs and Scars. This always makes me VERY angry afterwarRAB. So I ACCEPT the loss of battle for the day. Cyst 1, Me 0. Half the time, the bigger cyst WILL show the obvios clogged pore later in the week. THEN it almost pops itself. If It doesnt show Up, it usually takes about 3-4 weeks for the cyst/lump to flatten and fade. Do U already KNOW this? Have I said too much? Good luck.

I found that if I used a new clean lancet, like used for testing blood sugars, and poked one time in the center of the cyst it would then clear up and stop hurting. For some reason this relieved the pressure even tho nothing came out at that time other than a drop of blood. For me, this did not leave scars. I did not squeeze the cyst even tho one might come to a white head. Squeezing bruises the tissue.

I've done my best not to pick at it.

What's weird is that the one I initially posted about has almost completely vanished and another has come up, closer to my eyebrow.

I'd love to see a dermatologist about this, but unfortunately I have a weird health insurance plan that isn't accepted by a lot of dermatologists.

I'm not comfortable sticking a needle into myself. My skin scars easily and I'm trying to avoid scarring if at all possible. So, no desperate measures if I can help it.

I guess I'll stick to a warm compress and neosporin.

I hate these things.

I use to run into those........cyst like acne.

Your right!! those things are so painful. I can still remeraber it.

I use to leave it alone....but the darn thing just keep getting bigger and bigger. So one day....I decided to pop it. Big Mistake.

Yes....I felt relief, because the pus was out(along with some blood). I also squezz it...hoping that I will get rid of all the pus....so that they won't come back. Well.........lets just say.....it came back allright. One just form right next to it.
The previous one leave me these dark marks...that never seems to go away. and I am having another one....What the hell is going on(I thought to myself)?

I had to go to the dermatologist. They did gave me a shot of something on my face to help relieve it....(I closed my eyes at the time) but it did help me a lot....I felt so much better. Trust me........I had to pay some up-front cost for the shots, but was worth it.

but.......the problems persist. I had another one in like only 2 months after seeing the dermatologist. I was still in school....I can't afford these shots.

So............I saw the commercial about Proactive. I bought it...tried it out....it made my skin smoother.....but it's been two weeks....and my skin is breaking out...And I just have this feeling that one of those cyst-like acne is going to form again. Anyway...........I can't throw it away...it would just be a waste. long story short........I love it.

I am much older now........can honestly say: I never had a break-out or any of those cyst-like acne ever again.

Maybe you should try it.

My friend ever had something similar.

Her problem was really bad, and even seeing a dermatologist does not help effectively. The problem would subside for a few days, and will always resurface.

She did a detox and reduce the consumption of meat, while increasing consumption of vegetables and fruits. It improved her condition, and after 3 months, her face is totally clear, smooth and the problem never surfaced again.

What ever you do, don't use a warm compress! You should be put ice on these suckers as soon as you feel them, this reduces swelling!
