what can i expect from a career as a restaurant manager?

- what responsibilities are involved with this job?
- typical salary starting out? (olive garden or red lobster)
-is an outgoing personality necassary?
i will be getting a degree in restaurant management.
 
If you have no previous mgt experience, it will be difficult to be hired as a manager. Many duties are involved including, but not limited to: hiring/firing of employees; cash management & balancing thru out the day; seeing to the needs of employees & making sure they do their jobs correctly, etc., etc. For salary, you would have to consult the restaurant, as it probably varies :}
