My dad and I are constantly in arguments lately. My dad is aging and is always cranky (or is easily made cranky, by me preferably.) I really tend to argue a lot (it’s part of my stubbornness.) so when I say something that comes off as offensive or disrespectful, my father’s head is blown off and he uses a tone with much authority simultaneous to his engaged anger. Then I argue endlessly until my mom tells us how immature we are acting. I know that I’m the other fifty percent of the problem, but I just don’t know what to say to my father when he gets so angry. I try to think of something respectful or daughterly to say, but it makes me so angry when he’s angry. So what can I do or say to end this pathetic cycle? thank you for your time to answer.
