what can i do to get my 2005 sdg pit bike to start sparking?

i recently bought a 2005 sdg pit bike and it needed a clutch cable a kick starter the kid before me told me he heard it run before so anyways i replaced those two parts and kicked it over and it wouldnt start i checked the spark plug and it wasnt sparking so i bought a new one and i did the same thing and the ignition is unpluged because there is no key so i was wondering if theres anything i can do to get it to start sparking again
