I contracted with a lawyer to intervene for me in negotiating with a credit card company. They had so many departments and my payments were not being applied to my balance correctly. The bank no longer calls me or sends correspondence to me but the lawyer won't return my calls or tell me what he is doing. My credit report shows a charge off. What did he do? What can I do now? I paid this lawyer.
