I just went out of state and bought a used car today and brought it back to NC. When I got back the DMV was closed so I couldn't get plates but I was able to get insurance and the inspection sticker. I really need the car this weekend and I was wondering if anyone knew if I could get into trouble if I drove the car this weekend since I have insurance on it and I have a bill of sale? I was told by someone before that NC gives you 10 days to get tags on the vehicle but Im not sure if I could still drive it during that time or if there's anything else I can do seeing how it's the weekend?
