What can i ask my doctor?

I'm definitely not one of those girls who starves themselves, but no matter what I seem to do I cannot lose weight. I'm 17 years old 5'4 and 138 pounds. I don't want to lose an unhealthy amount of weight, I just want to be comfortable and confident. I already eat pretty healthy, exercise at the gym, play field hockey, do zumba, cardio, etc. I've been trying to lose some weight since september and still have yet to see results. Thyroid and weight problems are common in my family (being over and underweight) so I'm wondering if it has anything to do with that. I know "I'm still growing and maybe my current weight is what i need to weigh right now", but I really want to lose 10-12 pounds. I also know "maybe the weight is a result of me building muscle during exercise", but I really do look a little overweight and some is fat not just muscle. Would my doctor prescribe something to help me start to lose some pounds? If so what do you think he would prescribe?
