I have plenty of time to consider a breed to choose from, but I would enjoy some opinions from you all out there! I am a 18 year old male, this is my last year of high school, if that would have anything to do since im gone on weekdays. I am a very athletic person so excercising and playing with him/her would be no problems. I have had a dog ever since i was born, so i am used to having larger dogs such as german sheppards or alaskan malamutes around, ive also had a beagle or two so i am used to alot of barking and what not. What I look for in a dog is one that can be protective of myself and house. One that can hang around the house with me when I am sleeping or just hanging around and writing music, but at the same time I can excersize him or her whenever neccessary. Shedding is no problem to me, size of the dog does not matter, but a very large dog such as a saint bernard or great dane is out of the question, but a large dog is fine. THere will aslo be two beagles at my home, one inside one outside and one of them is very lazy and sleeps 24/7. A dog that is easy to housebreak would be a plus, but doesnt bother me. Ideas? Thanks!
