What breed of dog is best at catching rabbits?

I should really get a pair of ferrets, but i want another dog. I would love another setter, but i need a dog that can catch rabbits on its own, for me to eat.

My setter has caught one or two before and will break the neck himself even before i have to, so it must be in his breeding/instinct.
I know a lurcher would be the obvious answer , but, i am not too keen on how they look, an that's just my personal choice, so please don't be offended if you have a Lurcher.

what other breeds are good at catching rabbits, and can be trained to return it after it breaks, or return it quick enough for me to, so to case it the least distress.?

Not really bothered whether it illegal, thought of as "cruelty to rabbits" or whatever.

I need wild meat to eat, as supermarkets are too expensive and bad quality cuts where i live.

The walk up to where i have permissions, and waiting in the cold till i eventually lamp or see one, uses more calories than i can get from the amount of rabbits shot.

Id prefer a dog that can be trained to work with guns well too, but its more important i eat through the summer.
