The NightWorld Series by L.J. Smith
Three books each with three different stories in them

House of Night - the series revolves around the development and adventures of Zoey Redbird, a 16-year-old gifted fledgling vampyre who attends the House of Night school where she will eventually change into a Vampyre or die in the process. Zoey isn't the same as most normal fledlings and her difference makes her stand out when she comes to the House of Night. However, her difference has it's advantages and soon earns her acceptance in the House of Night. But all is not what it seems, and soon Zoey realises that along with her individuality comes responsibility and faces many challenges along the journey to (hopefully) becoming a vampyre.

The Vampire Chronicles - this is what Twilight ripped off. So, I'm guessing that this should be a good read if you want something original and intriguing. Plus Anne Rice is a great author

Evernight - Well-dressed, private-school vampires are a growing trend in teen horror lit. Bloodsucking Gossip Girls have shown up in Melissa de la Cruz’s Blue Bloods series, Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy books, and now in this debut, set in a spooky, exclusive boarding school. Sixteen-year-old Bianca is dreading her first day at Evernight Academy, where her parents have taken teaching positions. Then she meets handsome outsider Lucas, for whom she falls with quick intensity. Everyone at Evernight has secrets, even Bianca, and as her romance deepens, she risks revealing the otherworld identity of Evernight’s glamorous population, even as she wonders if Lucas, too, is hiding something. Some logistical questions about the student body, composed of both vampires and humans, are left unanswered, and a few story threads, particularly about Evernight’s headmistress, are left dangling; the ending leaves room for a sequel that may tie everything together

The Midnighters series, containing three books, The Secret Hour, Touching Darkness, and Blue Noon. They're about the world having 25 hours instead of 24, but the twenty-fifth is trapped in a single second, where only a few teens from the town of Bixby, Oklahoma who were born at midnight can move around, while everyone and everything else remains frozen. But the secret hour isn't empty....

Also, the Uglies series. Not vampire related but yeah. It takes place in the future, where people go through a surgery at age 15 that makes them "pretty." But there are people out there who don't want to become pretty... and besides, being pretty comes with a price that not many people realize they have to (and do so without knowing) pay....
The series constists of the books Uglies, Pretties, Speicals, and Extras.
Both the Uglies series and Midnighters series are written by Scott Westerfeld.

The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins.Okay, it's not a vampire related book, but it sure is good. Every year there is a drawing for two children from each of twelve cities to take part in the Hunger Games, a fight for survival in the wild against one another, where there can only be one winner. There's three books in the series. The second book, Catching Fire, will be available in September 2009.

The Host, by Stephenie Meyer, is a heart-wrenching, science fiction, romance story. Our world has been invaded by unseen beings, who take control of our bodies and live our lives. Only a few humans remain hidden. Melanie Stryder, when she is captured, refuses to fade away when the "Host," Wanderer, is given her body. Melanie instead gives Wanderer sad memories of promises she made to loved ones, and heartfelt experiences.Smeyer wrote it, so you'd like it obviously

The Time Travelers Wife - Follows the life of Henry De Tamble, who's genetic clock spontaneously resets itself and it causes him to transport back and forth in time. He meets Claire, who he falls in love with, yet their love proves complicated, as Henry's absences can be proven both deadly and dangerous

Looking for Alaska - After his embarrassingly boring going-away-party, Myles moves to Culver Creek High, a poorly disciplined boarding school, where he meets the self destructive Alaska Young, a vivacious, intelligent girl. Myles's life takes an enthralling turn where he experiences drugs, alcohol and love, and he and his new best friend - Chip, more commonly known as The Colonel, engage themselves in rebellious activities.
It will make you cry for a long time.

Pride and Prejudice - Set in 19th century England, the stoy revolves around the middle class life of Elizabeth Bennett. She lives with her four sisters. Her mother is very desperate for all her daughters to marry off well groomed and rich gentlemen, howev

Southern Vampire Mysteries, by Charlaine Harris. The show adaptation is True Blood on HBO, which is good, but the books are best :)

I LOVE Evermore! I hated the house of night series though no offense to those who suggested it. You should definitely read the Evernight series by Claudia Gray! Check it out. Good luck!
