If you want an easy read, "The Cat Who Went to Paris" by Peter Gethers is pretty good. Gethers started out not liking cats at all, and he was given a kitten who he fell madly in love with. For your report, it would be a nice angle to discuss how the kitten changed not only Gether's attitude, but really, his life. There is a used one offered on Amazon for $.01, of course, you'd have to pay shipping.
