their GM? I read it as a kid and there was a decent group. Some of the events I recall is one of them played a thief with some missing fingers and tried to pick someone's pocket and was killed. I recall the ending where they chose to go back. In the later books, engineering shows up because of one of the trapped players. I believe they end up having kids somewhere down the line, and ... They chose to live in that world. Never got to finish the series.
