What bike would suit me best?

I currently have a Bandit 600 which I ride to work in Westminster every day, its a round trip of around 65 miles. I have applied for a job in Peterborough which is a round trip of around 138 miles. I service my bike every 4000 miles which if I rode it to Peterborough five days a week would mean every 6 weeks or so for a service and so on.

What bike would cope with that sort of mileage, not cost a fortune in petrol and has a reasonable service interval?

Grateful for thoughts, suggestions and advice.

I would get a cruiser personally. I don't think the sportbikes are comfortable at all for long trips. The suzuki boulevard is extremely comfortable and easy to manage with great suspension. I think the M50 costs under 8000.00 USD.

Thats how I'd go.
