I wanna get a new bike. There are 3 criteria:

1) It needs to be 300-500 dollars used, doesn't matter what it is new since I'm getting it used.

2) It needs to have enough suspension that I can go off curbs and stuff (my beach cruiser's chain falls off when I do this), but not so much that it's impossible to do a bunny hop

3) It needs to be able to get me places. I plan on riding it to school, so it can't be like a BMX because it's really hard to go long distances on those things...

So, do you guys have any suggestions?

BMX arent all that bad for riding, just replace the grips and the seats...

Sounds like youre not going to be riding anything too specific so I would just buy a standard MTN bike from Wal-Mart. You might hear a lot of people out there that complain that Wal-Mart bikes are cheap and that they break easy, don't listen to them. I bought one for $100 USD and it has lasted for around 5 years (until it got stoeln). It can go off curbs and higher stuff but I've never tried bunny hopping.

Do some riding around the store, get the feel of it. Drop it from a certain height, make sure it doesn't break. Do all kinds of stuff, make sure it's right for you. Make sure you get a lifetime warranty in case it breaks.
