Even though most of my riding will be on pavement (commuting to/from work/school, I would like something stronger and sturdier than a road bike (something that can take a few curb jumps or a heavy backpack), so I figure I would prefer a hybrid or even a CX bike with not too hefty of a price tag - say between $400-700. I am also a rather small person so I would like anything less than 15", preferably around 13"-14" and if I must then kid's 24". I hope that's enough information to get a brand recommendation from everyone.
What bike brand is best for hybrid/cross?
