My father is an amateur who loves photography. He's slowly been collecting lenses and equipment, but he still doesn't have much equipment.
For Father's Day I would like to help him out with this. It will be a combination Father's Day present and birthday present, so I can spend around $100. (Possibly a little more, but I'd rather not.)
I am going to make him a light box from some internet tutorials, so that won't cost much at all, but I would like to get him some more fun things!
I was thinking lights to go with the light box, but the tutorials said that a few desk or clamp lamps would do just fine. Do you agree?
If not lights, what other equipment would you recommend? An umbrella or some reflectors? I'm going to try to find out some ideas from him, but I am also trying to make it a big surprise.
