I want to know what kind of bait (gummy or lure) is best for bass fishing in small ponds.

I have great luck with a mid-size, white with red eyes, spinner bait. If I knew about what the water temp. was I could help a little better but what you need to do is, as soon as the bait hits the water, start reeling it in. Keep the spinner at the point of breaking the surface but not quiet breaking it. Cast in the shade as much as possible and near the shore and around bushes and grass and stuff. If that doesn't work try a plastic worm. I am considering that you know how to rig a worm but once it hits bottom, give it very small but rather quick tugs (move it about 2-6 inches at a time). If that does not work, use a "Tiny Torpedo" preferably fish colored. Throw it out and barely move it in (in a jerking motion) just enough to not let the fish see the hooks. One thing about the Tiny Torpedo is you have to bend the spinner a little so that it spins easy, a lot of anglers do not know this.

That is about it. If those methods do not work then they just ain't biting. Good luck and I hope you catch the big one.
If you have any more questions about it just e-mail me and I will help as much as I can. Im not giving away all my secrets though ha ha.
