I am a huge fan of Richard Laymon because I love how he can get right to the point and his stories seem to continue from start to end with lot's of suspense and thrill and gore. My question is, is there any other authors that show those characteristics in their novels?
I actually read Triage with stories by Richard Laymon and Edward Lee and Jack Ketchum and I was so fascinated by Lee's story In The Year Of Our Lord: 2202 and Ketchum's story Sheep Meadow Story. Also, Dean Koontz is a pretty good author I took quite a liking to his story Icebound it is literally a "bone-chilling" story. Thanks guys for the requests but I know of those authors I need to know others.

I've never read Richard Laymon, but I do know that Dean Koontz is very good at getting right to the point in his books. His books also contain great suspense, thrill, and often gore, as well as horror, action, etc. The first book I read of Dean Koontz's was Watchers, and I was hooked from page one, and throughout the entire book there is excellent suspense, thrill, action, etc. Perhaps give Koontz's Watchers a try and see if his writing style is up your alley. If you like Watchers, some of other good books by Koontz include Lightning, Phantoms, Darkfall, and many more.

Best wishes!

These two links list:

Bentley Little
Ed Gorman
Jack Ketchum (twice)
Edward Lee
Brian Keene
Wrath James White

Although I've read none of them. Maybe I'll give one a try.
